Such presence

Glistening piece of moon,
as it emerged on the edges
of leaves gently swaying with the wind,
reminded her of her innocence.

Anticipating the flight of a proud bird,
woven among dreams,
a profound presence touched her,
and your loss, she now feared.

For you with wizardry,
inspired her joys,
made them dance with the rain,
and sorrows filtered into colors of the rainbow.

When resilience left her stranded,
she could but find her thoughts
strangling the selfless heart,
the truth had struck her after all.

Amongst such pure compassion,
she in despair searched for the honest words,
only to never express the disgrace,
courage never failed her, knowing did.

And as you bid adieu,
with a thousand waves conflicting inside,
she drinks the brimming droplets in her eyes,
and smiles the most radiant goodbye.

In no time

Belittled murmurs meaning resignation,
subtler than the moon behind grey scale.

Rhythms so refrained,
concealed by the sonorous drizzle,
a remorse arose masking glorious memories.

Abandoned like an unproved postulate,
half hearted reception and half hearted presumption,
resilience that saw darkness,

a step behind.

In sparkling eyes, a reflection of everything lost,
when closed, a dream of cherished past,
when seeing, a disappearing shadow.

From dusk till dawn, bewildering thoughts,
forsaken desires and uprooted reasons,
the ire diverged roads,
in parallel universe, a silent hope.

Daunting Silhouette

She had chuckled,
had let the surging wind rustle her locks,
when the fields were green,
and the eyes shut.

Silently she believed to have refound the innocence,
having decided to forget a certain hope,
she again desired the cheerful sunrise,
the loneliness seemed solitude then.

In broad daylight,
the thief snatched away her peace,
jostled her awake,
opening her eyes to a shadow,
a shadow she recognized since birth.

She heard the jar fall,
estranged like never before,
too fragile to fight the silhouette,
she wished him dead.

Shattering ever so loudly,
oscillating between sanity and insanity,
she wondered who was more heartless,
her or the one who made her so?

With derailed dreams,
she fathomed horrific nightmares.
While sleep evaded her,
she hoped to sleep forever.

Unfortunate Woods

Tread through the woods,
where in earnest a heart thumps,
meddling with patience,
endangering the virtuous solitude,
eagerly awaiting answers,
desirous to know veiled stories,
caged by the bars of understanding.

Tread through the woods,
which solicit your invasion,
conquered by the singular spirit,
forgotten birds laying motionless,
sighing leaves always moist,
breathing the welcome song.

Often the gushing winds,
a mere pretension of you,
tickle the sleeping ardor,
and wobble the armor in command.

In the parched space,
despite the resolution,
if you ever wish to tread,
enter with conviction,
and you will be received with jubilation.

Hither you come,
in a beautiful dream though,
it can only be a dream.

Sufficing Ignorance

The unexpressed essence of your memory,
should she ever endeavor to touch,
don’t narrate those stories,
for she may imagine them.

Beliefs of minuscule significance,
contained till now with fortitude,
don’t weaken those bricks,
for she may dispossess them.

Respite found during the downpours,
with the release of pinching thoughts,
don’t reiterate the moments once lived,
for she may never relish them.

Celebrated occasions with exuberance,
counted partly with enthusiasm,
don’t cloud delights with incertitude,
for she may plead to forget them.

Flames of desires and hopes,
carried from an impatient dawn,
don’t admonish with skepticism,
for she may want to survive them.

Returning from an exhausting journey,
desiring comfort from the most trusted soul,
don’t engrave anguish too soon,
for she may not alight tonight.
