Farther away, yet untrodden boulevard

Each belief, a reckless lie;
Miles we walked,
each step, a little farther from truth,
each step, a scar.

Yet untrodden boulevard;
On this grey I will travel,
Leaving behind your memories,
Memories of lies and of hollow words.

Never will I look back at you;
For you my friend were a myth.
All those sorrows shared I will forget.
But how do I forget the joys shared?
With whom would I share the sorrows,
that they now are?

Where sunlight gives warmth,
where moonlight soothes impatience;
From where I cannot see you,
Depart will I, into that mist.
